Superintendent Update

Congratulations to our junior basketball teams.  The District finals were on the weekend.  Our junior girls are conference champions and District runner up.  The junior boys are Conference Champions and District Champs.  Well done.

The last board meeting went for a couple of hours last Monday.  The first topic was the construction reports.  The Middle School is nearly finished and the final punch list was done last Wednesday afternoon.  The pay request by NOACON of $46,961.79 was approved.

The meeting was followed by a very informative report by Marsha Guffey.  She should us the future planning preparations for the City of Mayflower and invited comments.

The following expenses over $5,000.00 were approved.  Green and Chapman for fuel, $5230.00; Progressive Therapy, $5178.00 and Mid-South Sales for fuel, $5,210.53.

The school calendar for 2012-2013 was discussed.  This will be finalized for approval at the next Board Meeting.

A list of disposed of inventory items was approved by the Board.  There was various items, mainly technology, that are obsolete.

The next section of the meeting was employment.  The Board went into executive session.  When they come out of the session they moved to employ Mr Donnie Creasey for the Director of Facilities position.

The meeting adjourned at about 7:45.

It is District basketball for our Senior High teams this week.  These games will start on Tuesday evening at Episcopal in Little Rock.
